THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE SERVICES
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage - The most common type of massage. Designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation, improve range of motion, promote relaxation and relieve muscle tension.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage - Heated Basalt stones are used to enhance relaxation during a full body massage. Stones radiating heat penetrate deep into muscles promoting greater stress relief and encouraging the exchange of blood and lymph. Cold stones may also be used to help with inflammation.
Mu-Xing Therapy
Mu-Xing Therapy - is a treatment using warm bamboo and rosewood tools to perform deep tissue massage. The therapist uses Mu-Xing instruments of different shapes and sizes to apply a variety of massage strokes which address ischemic tissue and promote a deep sense of overall well being and relaxation.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Benefits of lymphatic massage: 1. Improved immune system function: Lymphatic massage helps to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid in the body, which carries white blood cells and other immune system cells to help fight off infections and diseases. 2. Detoxification: Lymphatic massage can help to remove toxins and waste products from the body by increasing lymph flow and promoting the elimination of these substances through the lymphatic system. 3. Reduced swelling and inflammation: Lymphatic massage can help to reduce swelling and inflammation in the body by promoting the drainage of excess fluid from tissues. 4. Improved circulation: Lymphatic massage can help to improve blood circulation by increasing the flow of lymph fluid, which can help to deliver nutrients and oxygen to cells more efficiently. 5. Pain relief: Lymphatic massage can help to reduce pain and discomfort in the body by promoting relaxation and reducing muscle tension.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage - Massage helps reduce pregnancy discomforts and enhances the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.
Trigger Point Therapy
A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. Trigger Point Massage Therapy is specifically designed to release constricted areas in the muscles through cycles of isolated pressure and release, thereby alleviating pain at the source. The recipient actively participates through deep breathing and through identifying the exact location and intensity of discomfort. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.
Reflexology Treatment
Reflexology Treatment - Research indicates that the reflex zones of the feet affect the levels of stress, wellness and energy in the body. That's why Reflexology focuses on treating the feet as a way to alleviate pain and tension throughout the body. It can also be a wonderful way to treat plantar fasciitis, ankle injuries or even everyday work fatigue.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy-Use Cupping Therapy as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with your choice of massage techniques. The wonderful benefits of Cupping include: Release toxins Activate the lymph system Clear the colon, Clear the veins, capillaries, arteries and meridians
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a hands on, whole body manual therapy technique addressing the fascial system. MFR is used to elongate the fascial tissue with a 90-120 second gentle pressure into the restriction or tissue barrier. After releasing through several barriers the tissue will become soft and pliable. The pressure will be taken off pain sensitive areas and motion restored. Myofascial Release differs from massage and chiropractic manipulation. Myofascial release applies sustained pressure into the fascial system and has effects on the elastin, collagen and ground substance. Soft tissue restrictions that alter bony alignment are addressed and osseous releases are performed slowly without manipulation.
Himalayan Salt Stone Massage
Himalayan Salt Stone Massage uses warm salt crystal stones to soothe away stress and tension, and promote an increased sense of well-being. Its grounding properties help to improve sleep, balance the nervous system and reduce inflammation. Additionally, the stone’s natural salt properties gently exfoliate the skin to promote naturally smooth and silky skin, reducing signs of aging.
